Wakeman BGC's basketball leagues provide an environment for players to learn and improve upon the basics of basketball and practice good sportsmanship while having fun and making new friends.
Registration in any basketball program requires a current Wakeman Boys & Girls Club membership. Learn more about what the Club offers!

Join the Travel Basketball team and compete at a higher level. Designed for dedicated athletes, the program offers advanced coaching and competitive play against top teams.

Open to all skill levels, the program offers expert coaching to help youth athletes improve their basketball skills, game strategy and sportsmanship.
Girls Grades 3 - 12
BCYL Girls On The Move Basketball Program
Grades: 3 -12
Fee: No Fee
Location: Madison Avenue Community Clubhouse
The program will provide girls with role models, resources, and a safe environment that will enable them to remain constructively involved while affording them opportunities for physical and mental well-being. A Health and Wellness targeted curriculum will be incorporated to ensure girls get the right information and the right support at the right time, regardless of skill level. The sports programs will provide developmental clinics to help the participants learn the game and the girls will play competitive basketball and volleyball games as they will be assigned to teams. Our objective is to assist in their leadership development that enables them to learn the importance of teamwork, communication, respect, responsibility, and self-development.

If you are not a current Wakeman Boys & Girls Club member, register as a non-member. Registration is required. Participants under 18 years old require a parent/guardian for registration. The program is a collaboration with the Bridgeport Police Department.
