Jarrad McCown is a dedicated youth and community leader with more than six years of experience directing programs that inspire, educate, and empower young people. Before joining Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, he served as Director of Operations at Hartford City Mission, where he oversaw programs, staff, and community initiatives designed to support and uplift local families. Today, he continues to contribute to Hartford City Mission as Secretary on the Board of Directors, helping guide the organization’s mission and impact.
Deeply rooted in his hometown, he also serves as Senior Pastor of Every Need Church. Through the church’s outreach, he leads programs that provide food, resources, and spiritual support to those in need, ensuring that individuals and families feel seen, valued, and equipped for the future.
At WBGC, he is passionate about creating safe, engaging spaces where children and teens can explore their interests, develop life skills, and build lasting relationships. Believing that every young person has incredible potential, he works to connect youth with mentors, opportunities, and experiences that help them grow into confident, capable leaders.
With a heart for service and a track record of building strong, impactful programs, he brings vision, dedication, and a community first approach to everything he does making the WBGC Madison Avenue Community Clubhouse a place where young people know they belong.
