Before Wakeman BGC, Laura worked and volunteered at other non-profits in the region. Laura earned a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Management from University of Phoenix through the BGCA Emerging Leader Scholarship Program. In the community, Laura has been a part of leadership programs including Leadership Greater Bridgeport and Leadership Development Roundtable. She sits on the founding Board of Directors for local nonprofit, LiveGirl, and is the Facility Management Advisor for Kappa Alpha Theta’s Sacred Heart University’s Chapter.
