Great Futures & Smart Moves Mentoring
Wakeman Outreach at McKinley School

Great Futures Mentoring Program: 10th-12th grade volunteers mentor their 3rd-5th grade McKinley mentee 1 on 1 for 2 hours weekly, spending time with other mentors and students for homework, playing games, crafts, sports, and hanging out. Mentors can volunteer Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 2:45-4:45 and must attend same day weekly.

Smart Moves Mentoring Program: 9th -12th grade volunteers mentor second graders 1 on 1, spending time with other mentors and students focused on academics (homework/reading), life skills lessons (teasing, friendships, self-esteem) and socializing (board games, small group activities). Smart Moves Mentoring meets on Wednesdays 3:15-4:45 from late September to late May.

Mentors can commit to one, two or three seasons of school year (fall, winter, or spring).
