Volunteering at Wakeman

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club is proud of the high quality programs and services that we offer our members. This would not be possible without the hundreds of individuals, groups and businesses that volunteer who share their time and talents with our members each and every day. Volunteers may volunteer a few hours a day, week, monthly or year.  If you are interested in inspiring, motivating and improving young lives, we would love to have you join our team as a volunteer!

Volunteer opportunities are available for Tutoring, Coaching, College Prep, Fitness, STEM, Arts, Mentoring, Career Planning and more.  Development volunteers are also sought to support the good work done throughout the organization.  Click above on the blue Volunteer Opportunities tab for a complete listing of our potential volunteer opportunities.

Important: Before you can become a volunteer, you need to complete the secure volunteer application form below which authorizes us to complete a background check.  All potential volunteers also meet with program staff for an interview and relevant training.

Who should fill out this form: Any adult seeking to volunteer at Wakeman (18+ years old and no longer in high school).
Teens seeking to volunteer who have been directed to this specific page by Wakeman staff. Teens interested in volunteering should contact the director of that program before completing this form. Teens unsure of the right program for their interests can contact Tim Cepetelli.

We will complete the background check and direct your application to the directors who may best be able to match you with a program, then be in touch with you within 10 days. Thank you for your interest in helping kids BE GREAT!
