Wakeman Boys and Girls Club offers a variety of lacrosse and field hockey programs designed to introduce club members to each sport in a comfortable way. Fall and Spring lacrosse, Fall Field Hockey as well as other activities are held on Wakeman's Turf Field at the Southport Clubhouse.

Wakeman In-House Spring Lacrosse                                                                                                          
Boys & Girls Grades 3-8

In-House teams practice once a week for an hour and fifteen minutes and will play one game each weekend. Each player on an In-House team can expect to play in every game and within each team playing time will be equalized as much as possible, based on attendance at practice and games. Players can also expect the opportunity to play every position on the field at some point over the course of the season in a game. Based on the registration numbers each house team may play one away game and other town teams at home throughout the season. Teams will be coached

Fairfield Youth Lacrosse at Wakeman                                                                                        
Boys & Girls Grades 1 & 2

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club is offering the opportunity for 1st & 2nd Graders to be a part of a program where players are taught the elementary skills of Lacrosse, including what makes lacrosse such a fun sport. Through Fairfield Youth Lacrosse (FYL) players will participate in both practice and game situations in an in-house environment, based on a 7-on-7 format following the US Lacrosse development model for each grade level. Clinics will be held on Saturday and Sunday mornings at Wakeman with instruction directed by a combination of trained parent volunteers, technical coaches, and high school lacrosse players. Registration is done at www.fylacrosse.com. All clinics/games will be held on Wakeman's Turf Field. Players are not required to be current members in order to participate. If you have any questions please email geoff@wakemanclub.org.
