Boys Travel Lacrosse

Boys Travel Grades 5-8

This year Boys Travel Lacrosse will consist of four grade levels, each as a seperate Travel team.  Travel boys lacrosse requires a serious commitment. The program will feature one team (for each grade level) of experienced players that will represent Wakeman in the CONNY Lacrosse League.  The program will provide an ample amount of practice and game time focused on skill improvement and team camaraderie. Each team will practice twice a week, play a 10-12 game schedule and participate in the end-of-the-year CONNY Lacrosse Tournament.

Eligibility: Individuals can only play travel lacrosse at Wakeman if the player is a resident of Fairfield. If the participant  does not have a lacrosse program in the town they reside in they would be eligible to play travel at Wakeman. That player must receive a written release from their town director to be presented by Wakeman to the CONNY Board. The CONNY Board must approve the release (which is not guaranteed.) This CONNY process is done on a player to player basis, not as a program. Wakeman does not make the final decision, CONNY does.

Tryouts: February 27th to March 31st. Detailed information for sites and times will be announced in mid-February.

Practices: Times and sites will be announced

Games: Games will be scheduled at various times on weeknights and weekends.

Team Size: 18-23 players per team

Fee: $225 includes the travel tryout fee, a uniform and membership to US Lacorsse. The In-House fee of $145 along with $5 travel tryout fee must be paid initially with mail-in registration. Players that are selected to travel team are responsible to pay the remaining $75. Players that tryout but do not make the travel team will have a spot in the In-House Program. No refunds will be given after tryouts.
